Hear from Spoken Word judge Wanda Canton about her experience of judging the 2020 Koestler Awards, including her advice to entrants and why she thinks it’s important to support spoken word and creativity in the criminal justice system.
Wanda Canton designs and delivers structured group courses and workshops exploring spoken word, performance and creative writing as tools to express or understand emotions and experiences, using language to create movement or space. She has worked with community projects including TedX, mental health services and secure forensic hospitals. As an artist she is inspired by jazz and rap and has been performing since 2011, including VFringe Festival and publication in the ICA.
