Bimonthly Art Aid during the current UK national lockdown
Due to the impact of the current UK national lockdown, we will be sharing Art Aid sheets twice a month ahead of the 2021 Koestler Awards deadline. New sheets will be released on the first and third Monday of every month.
Activity sheets for prison learners
Art Aid provides simple creative tasks to help inspire learning in prisons and secure settings. All you will need is a pencil and some paper to get started. Submit your entries to the 2021 Koestler Awards.
Each month Koestler Arts commissions an artist/writer who has directly engaged with Koestler to set a creative task.
Our entrants have told us that they would like to hear more from other people with experience of being creative in the criminal justice system. We hope that Art Aid will become a platform to share personal stories and sources of inspiration.
New sheets will be available from the first Monday of each month.
Thank you to education provider Novus for their help distributing these to their learners through in-cell screens and paper packs.
If you’re an education provider or prison arts organisation, please download, share and use the sheets below. Please do let us know if you are using them to help your learners or if you have any questions or feedback.
